Planning is essential and we need to consider the consequences that could arise from the decisions we make but not to the extent that we attempt to play out the infinite number of scenarios that could possibly occur. Most of them will never materialise so what’s the point of worrying about it. It’s what I call the paralysis of analysis.
We all have a long list of tasks that we procrastinate on. Just do it. Make a start and soon you will begin to enjoy the journey. Don’t think too much and as my mum would often say in Chinese 船到桥头自然直 (literal translation – as the ship approaches the harbour she will naturally line up)
